The celebrated Museum of Dubai opened its doors last year in February. Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about the Museum of the Future. So what’s the new fuss surrounding it? Well, onlookers have noticed that the facade lights of this museum have been off for a while now. Why? The resources from the museum have informed us about certain renovations. Here’s the reason!

Museum Of The Future’s Exterior Lights Are Off From Some Nights

The working members of the Museum Of The Future have informed Khaleej Times about the renovation process happening currently. But we are aware that this renovation work is not hampering the operational hours of the Museum of the Future in any aspect. This Dubai Museum is accessible from 10 am–7:30 pm daily. The only renovation that’s been happening is on the exterior. The facade lights are being repaired to make the museum lit up again with all its grandeur. The LED light penetrates through the calligraphic designs on the exterior bringing the dark streets surrounding it alive.

The almost 46,000 feet of LED light lines that trace the Arabic script that covers the whole structure give the Museum of the Future’s front life at night. The words covering the structure were created by Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej and are quotes from Dubai’s ruler who gave the Dubai Future Institute three brief thoughts about the future.

Few Quick Facts About This Pillar-Less Structure!

Aside from the massive calligraphy, the Museum of the Future features a large multipurpose hall with seating for 1,000 people. A smaller room for interactive lectures and workshops, and a number of “innovation laboratories” for energy, transportation, smart cities, health, and education are all fancy points you should visit here.

The column-free construction is being hailed as a ground-breaking achievement in parametric design and computer-aided engineering. All credit goes to the algorithmic design process. It permits complex geometries and innovative use of Building Information Modelling.

As per resources, the bookings have to be done well in advance as you might not get an entry if you were planning to simply walk in.
