The Nainital Boat House Club singularly holds the administration of yachting in Nainital. Now, sailing a yacht commands a comprehensive knowledge of sailing method and skill. However, if you are just a tourist or a usual visitor, you can simply chill at the lake-facing bar and soak in the beauty of Nainital. Nonetheless, this club is the second oldest club in India, which has the exclusive distinction of sailing a class of boats that are not sailed anywhere else in the planet. Lastly, till about 1970, yachting was only offered to members of the club. But, today even non-members can avail of the club’s exclusive privileges.

Before 1947, the Naini Tal Club Ltd was deliberated as one of the most privileged clubs in India. Not just because it was based on one of the most picturesque valleys of India with the most pleasant climate; but, because it was the only club in India that offered yachting facilities to its members.

Honestly, the food is not only scrumptious, it is dirt cheap too! Yes, we are talking about Rs. 800 approximately for a heavy dinner for two! We loved their Manchow Soup, Chilli Chicken, Masala Papad, Chicken 65, Lemon Chicken, Chicken Mughlai, Paneer Lababdar and Malai Chicken Tikka.

What To Drink?

If you are planning to drink, try their assortment of whiskeys and vodkas. However, if you are a beer lover, choices are galore. They also have a great selection of cocktails. For non-drinkers, we would recommend piping hot coffee!

There is one little glitch to enjoying all the serenity at this club. It’s members only club, but members can bring along guests with them at a nominal entry fee!
