Everyone’s first experience on a flight is unforgettable, isn’t it? Flying is a bucket-list experience for some individuals, whether it is international or domestic. Our Editor-In-Chief, Kamiya Jani, learnt that Diljit Dosanjh’s first international flight was memorable for a lot of reasons on this fun Sunday Brunch episode. Read on to learn about his flight to Canada and if he ever made it to the country.
Diljit Dosanjh’s First International Flight Was Cancelled
While conversing about travel, Kamiya asked Diljit about his first international flight adventure. He recalled that he was supposed to fly out to Canada for a show in 2005. It was his first international flight. He told us his Air India flight to Canada was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, which left him wondering about his rotten luck.
He said, “Maine kaha, yaar badi bhari kismat hai, pehli international flight cancel ho gayi.” Upon enquiring, he found out the next flight was completely booked. The only seats available were in first class. So he travelled in First Class for his first international flight to Canada and successfully performed his show.
Paaji, this isn’t rotten luck and we were elated to hear about this fabulous turn of events. From cancelled flights to lavishly travelling with delectable food and drinks along with ample legroom, it is truly a memorable experience!

Only First Class & No Economy Class?
Continuing on the same topic of flights and first-class tickets, Diljit made another funny revelation about his first-ever international flight. He assumed that the entire flight had first-class amenities and that is how international flights are.
Later, he realised that the flights also have economy class. He said, “Phir time lag gaya economy class se first class aate aate!” Further, he added that it takes enough time and money to be able to afford First Class and travel comfortably.
He emphasised that there is no hard-and-fast rule to travel in first class. If any kind of emergency arises and he has to travel on short notice, he isn’t hesitant to take the economy class.
