This is a popular temple devoted to Sri Mariamman in the district of Karur. During May, the Kumbum Festival is celebrated and devotees participating in festivities have to carry the sacred waters of Amaravathi River back to the temple.

This temple is dedicated to Lord Kalyana Venkataramana Swamy which is located at the top of a hillock. Interestingly, this temple is also known as South Thirupathi!
