Route To Bandaje Falls

The 61-meter-tall Bandaje Falls are encircled by lush green forests that are alive with the sounds of chirping birds and breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. The exhilarating seven to eight-hour hike to see it winds through forests, steep terrain, rolling hills, and grasslands across 6-7 km. The trek’s initial section passes through lush forests, high canopies, a wide diversity of flora, and sporadic sightings of wildlife. The shady portion of the climb creates a calm and refreshing ambience.

Hikers can find the remains of the Ballalarayana Durga Fort, which was built in the 12th century by the Hoysala dynasty, en route to the waterfall. The climb to Ballalarayana Durga Fort, which starts near the Kalabhairaveshwara Temple, is around 3 kilometres long and takes about 90 minutes to finish. You will pass the Rani Jhari viewpoint along the route. The trip to Bandeje Falls, which is 3.5 kilometres from the fort, should take about 2.5 hours. The trek’s second section is comparatively simple. To get to the waterfall, use the grassy trail to the left.
