In the latest news, a British man was slammed by netizens for eating KFC chicken inside ISKCON’s Govinda restaurant in London. It is a well-known strictly vegetarian restaurant run by the Hare Krishna movement. The act has triggered widespread backlash on social media and hurt the religious sentiments of many.
Man Eats Fried Chicken At London’s Govinda Restaurant
A controversial incident happened recently when an African-British man entered ISKCON’s (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) Govinda restaurant in London, which is a pure vegetarian eatery. In the video which was reposted by user @Siddharth_00001 on X, a man is seen asking the lady at the counter if it was a vegan restaurant that didn’t serve chicken.
The lady informs him that it is not only a vegetarian restaurant, but also a no-onion, no-garlic eatery. What follows next might just shock you: the man quietly opened a plastic bag, took out a takeaway box of KFC fried chicken, and started eating it in front of her, to her horror.
Not only that, when the woman at the counter asked him to stop and leave, he offered his fried chicken to other customers seated at the eatery. The staff and customers looked visibly uncomfortable. As the situation escalates further, one customer told him, “You are actually violating somebody’s religious sentiments, and it is not fair.” The video ended with one of the staff members guiding him out of the restaurant.

Netizens Outraged Over ‘Disrespectful’ Act
Netizens on did not take the incident lightly. One user commented, “Hope the complaint was filed in the local police station. Don’t know if he can be arrested for this or not”. Another user slammed the restaurant for failing to push him out sooner. He added, “What stopped you guys from pulling him out of the restaurant? Start preparing people to face these violent criminals”
Another user pointed out, “Bringing outside food into a restaurant is strictly prohibited. Introducing meat into an ISKCON establishment is not only disrespectful but also undermines the principles we uphold.” Many others also called the entire act ‘disrespectful’, ‘awful’, and ‘disgusting’. Some users believed that he carried out this horrendous act just to get likes and attention on social media.
