Have you ever heard of tomato ketchup without tomatoes? Sounds funny? Well, today you will learn to make one. An Instagram page, @satvicmovement has come up with a very healthy and sugar-free alternative to regular bottled tomato ketchup. Here’s How:
The team of the Satvic Movement noted that only 23% of tomatoes were found in a tomato ketchup, plus it had a high amount of sugar and stabilisers. So they took this as a challenge and gave rise to Satvic ketchup.
The chef put some finely chopped bell peppers, pumpkin, and carrots in a pan. She then added some water to it. After covering it with a lid, the mixture was cooked for about 5–6 minutes. Then she added star anise powder, jaggery powder, dry ginger powder, and hing to this. The mixture was cooked until it thickened a bit. The last step was to add oat flour, rock salt, and lemon juice.

There were many of them who loved this recipe and thanked the group for it. One user mentioned that she is allergic to tomatoes and was glad to have found this alternative. But there were also many others who felt that making ketchup every two days was not a good idea. One user also felt that all of us have been trying to perfect every recipe way too much.
