Do You Know Sushmita Sen Used To Carry Tabasco Sauce To Every Restaurant?

Miss Chandni of Bollywood, the stunning actor Sushmita Sen, graced us on one of our Sunday Brunches. The Bengali beauty is known for her exceptional acting skills, dance moves and ‘adaayein’ that have her fans all over the world swooning over her. She joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, to indulge in yummy food and delightful conversations. On this exciting episode, we got to know a lot about her favourite dishes and more. To learn all about it, watch the video below.

This Is Why Sushmita Sen Took Tabasco Sauce To Restaurants

There was once a widely believed rumour that Sushmita always brought a bottle of Tabasco sauce when she went out to dine. We didn’t beat around the bush and directly asked whether it was true. Just as the ‘Aarya’ actor heard this, she laughed out loud and agreed to it!

Well, what was the reason behind it? Sushmita said, “7-8 saal pehle tak, western world mein khana bland ka bland hi hota tha. Phir, I think the Thai culture, the Indian culture, we have introduced flavours.” Our guest pointed out that she couldn’t appreciate food in some of the countries as it lacked the spice she was used to.

Indians always prefer to enjoy food that is rich in masalas; our innate love for spices never goes out of style! Up until a few years ago, the cuisine outside of India was, in our opinion, utterly boring! So, to spice up her food, Sushmita carried Tabasco to every restaurant.

Given that Kamiya dislikes spicy food, she was curious to hear about Sushmita Sen’s preference. She revealed that her love for spicy food is a thing of the past. Nowadays, the only spicy food she enjoys is chaat!

She elaborated on her response by saying, “Ek toh Bengali and doosra, I have lived in Delhi most of my growing up years. So the combination equals to Chaat!” As a Delhiite and a Bengali myself, I totally agree with this statement and understand why she craves zingy chaat!
