After making an announcement previously, Royal Bhutan Airlines has finally begun its two weekly flights between Paro and Dubai. The new route aims to strengthen the airline’s global connectivity with its flight to Dubai, which is also a gateway for passengers from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and even North and South America. With the aim of promoting tourism and diplomatic ties between Bhutan and the UAE, the airline offers great opportunities for the people. As it happens, this airline will be flying from Dubai to Paro on Tuesdays and Saturdays while it will be flying back on Mondays and Fridays.
What About Visa & Fees?
This is a brilliant development as currently, it operates nine international destinations that are spread across five countries. And as the airline broadens its network, it certainly makes travelling to the country a lot easier. In fact, applying for a visa to Bhutan is also quite simple. All you must have is a visa and permit before you travel to the country. You can apply for the same online or through Bhutani’s tour operator or hotel. However, it takes about five days to process the visa and one must pay the Bhutan Sustainable Development Fee of USD100 per person per night.
