Dry Days From May 18 To May 20 In Mumbai
General elections in Mumbai, Palghar, Kalyan, and Thane will take place on May 20. Keeping this and the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) directives in mind, the state has declared May 18 to May 20 to be dry days in these constituencies. According to ECI, constituencies where the election is held and the adjacent constituencies must observe dry days to ensure fair and peaceful elections.
So, all liquor sales in bars and wine shops will remain closed during these days. These dry days in Mumbai and other constituencies will start from 5 PM on May 18. The bars and wine shops will be allowed to reopen at 5 PM on May 20. Another dry day in the next few days in Mumbai will be on June 4 during vote counting.
