Dubai Launches 5-Year Multiple Entry Visa For Indians
In a report by Times of India, it was mentioned that this visa is issued within two to five working days of receiving and accepting the service request. So, this means that the permit allows the holder to stay in the country for 90 days. Moreover, this can be extended for a similar period with the total stay not exceeding 180 days in a year. This development comes after recently it was revealed by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism that the emirate received 2.46 million visitors from India. The visitors were received during the months between January and December of 2023.
An Increase In The Number Of Tourists From India
From the figures mentioned by the DET, it’s evident that there has been a significant increase from 1.84 million tourists in 2022. Not to mention, it has also surpassed the pre-pandemic figure of 1.97 million visitors in 2019. So, as the emirate values its long-standing relationship with India, this multiple-entry five-year visa initiative signifies the strategic step towards deepening the existing ties between nations. Moreover, it will also open doors to longer and more enriching experiences for Indian tourists.
At this point, it’s worth mentioning that in 2023, Dubai set another record by welcoming 17.15 million international visitors throughout the year. This means, there was a growth of 19.4%.
