Dubai Announces New Shopping Rules; No More Than Three Hours In Malls

When malls and shopping centers open in Dubai, visitors will not be allowed to shop for more than three hours. An official date for the reopening of commercial centres will be announced shortly. According to a list of protocols issued in Dubai on Wednesday, malls and souqs will be operational for 10 hours.

Additionally, all entertainment and tourist attractions in the city will remain closed to avoid crowding. Malls will not have valet parking as well as 75% of the parking lots will be shut. Visitors who come to the mall must wear a mask, or entry will be prohibited. In addition, a 2-metre social distancing must be followed in all common areas. A 30% cap on occupancy is also in place.

Restaurants must also limit seating to 30% and place seating and tables six feet apart for all customers. Stores and and eateries must use red tags at the front door to indicate the maximum number of customers allowed inside.
