Dubai: Complete With Wifi, AC & More, Marine Transport Stations Receive An Upgrade From The RTA

It wasn’t too long ago when we read reports about the UAE reeling under record-breaking temperatures as it reeled from heat waves. However, catering to the needs of people, Dubai RTA has come to the rescue with its newly opened air-conditioned marine station. Yes, the first phase of Marine Transport Stations Waiting Area Upgrade Project is complete, and now we are here to give you the details about the same.

Dubai RTA Unveils Upgraded Marine Transport Stations

The Dubai RTA has unveiled an upgraded marine transport station in Dubai Marina. With enhanced comfort and smart services, this is the first of the other marine stations that are coming up soon. As it happens, the marine stations have also been updated at five other locations, such as Marina Promenade, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Mall, and Marina Mall 1. These feature heritage-inspired design and are definitely a great place to wait for your ride in the blistering summer heat.

It Is Complete With All The Amenities

As it happens, these waiting areas are now fully upgraded and are fully air-conditioned. With the rooms being fitted with modern amenities, it features a real-time schedule, display screens, free Wi-Fi, and even audio announcement systems. Coming to the architectural elements, it features a heritage-inspired design, which is evident from the fact that it looks like a traditional wooden Abra. Showcasing a rich maritime legacy of Dubai, it delivers several contemporary services.

Dubai RTA To Now Introduce New Stations With Upgrades

A part of Dubai RTA’s strategy for improving customer satisfaction, it aims to create comfortable, accessible and integrated transport hubs. In fact, the station upgrade is bound to enhance connection to major commercial centres that are situated around the Marina Mall, nearby metro & travel stations and even the surrounding neighbourhood.

However, the work doesn’t just end here. With the completion of phase 1, work begins for phase 2, which will cover five other destinations. Yes, these stations will be selected on the basis of increasing demand and strategic importance.
