Mall of Emirates is a popular hotspot for people in Dubai. It hardly needs any introduction. However, recently, the famous mall revealed that it will be undergoing a major expansion. Yes, costing AED5 billion, it will add 20,000 m² featuring 100 new stores. Here’s more about their expansion plans.
Mall Of Emirates To Undergo Expansion
Mall Of Emirates revealed that it will soon be expanding to accommodate a hundred new stores. A leading shopping and leisure destination of the Middle East, the expansion is a part of introducing an indoor and outdoor precinct. At this point, it’s worth mentioning that out of the set amount, AED1.1 billion has already been deployed for some major overhauls. This includes a new wellness club, dining precinct, infrastructural upgrades, and cultural hub. Offering a mix of fast casual dining and interactive entertainment, this will be the first ever outdoor F&B courtyard of the mall.

What Else Does This Expansion Entail?
It is expected to open by early 2027, and the adaptable space will then be transformed into a lush oasis. Perfect for cooler months, it will be a refreshing way for visitors to enjoy the evolving culinary scene of the mall. In case you’re wondering about the new additions, they are as follows.
- The New Covent Garden theatre is all set for soft launch in the mid of 2025. The grand opening is however, scheduled for later this year.
- The lifestyle and entertainment spaces is touted to be ready by 2026.
- The precinct’s dining outlet, and the northend space will get ready by early 2027.
In fact, four new entertainment concepts are also set to launch by late 2026. A part of this is the VOX cinema, which has already launched the world’s most advanced IMAX experience at the mall.
