Abu Dhabi has a record of 0.8 million. 11.2 million overseas travellers were among the 44 million overall passengers who utilised Mumbai airport over the course of a year.

The 44 million total passengers that used Mumbai airport in a single year included 11.2 million tourists from other countries. Approximately 3.5 million Indians currently reside and work in the UAE in a variety of occupations. With 9.8 million passengers, the most of any nation, India was the most popular destination for passengers flying into Dubai International (DXB) airport in 2022.

Emirates, the flag carrier of Dubai, was the third-largest airline departing from the Mumbai airport, carrying 10% of all passengers, behind IndiGo (17%) and Air India (12%).

We believe that it’s safe to say Mumbai International Airport witness the maximum number of travellers on the route of India-UAE. To be more specific, the flights on Mumbai-Dubai and Mumbai-Abu Dhabi routes have maximum check-ins.

But why is that? The expats currently residing in the Gulf countries use any given opportunity to visit their homeland. During Eid’s long weekend, Indian expats from UAE booked their tickets in advance to travel using the above-mentioned flights.

We are not even surprised to know this news as we know the excellence & traffic of Mumbai airport.
