According to recent statistics, about 100,000 individuals relocated to Dubai in the previous 12 months. Dubai’s overall population has reached 3.6 million for the first time in history. The Dubai Statistics Centre has released new data showing that 3.55 million individuals called Dubai home as of the end of 2022. Fast forward six months, and the city’s population has grown by a remarkable 50,000 in that time. That represents an increase of about 1.5%.

In the upcoming years, it is anticipated that Dubai’s population will continue to rise tremendously, following a similar trend of expansion.

It is hardly unexpected that the population has suddenly increased. After the epidemic, Dubai has become one of the best places to live and work. It fits into the government of Dubai’s broader plan to transform Dubai into the finest city in which to live.

Population growth of 7.8 million people is projected for Dubai Urban Plan 2040.

As part of the strategy, the government would ensure that 55% of the populace resides less than 800 metres from a major public transit hub.

By 2040, the population of Dubai is expected to expand by 5.8 million, reaching a total of 7.8 million people, according to the primary results of the Dubai Urban Plan 2040.

Both the amenities and the population will grow. According to the Urban Plan 2040, there will be a rise in places like parks and other green spaces (up 105%), spaces for educational and medical institutions (up 25%), and land set aside for commercial and industrial operations.

A 40 per cent increase in public beaches is already being implemented as part of the plan, and 60 per cent of the city’s territory will be set aside for nature reserves.
