Dubai RTA Announces Free 4-Day Parking, Revised Metro Timings & More Ahead Of Eid Al-Adha Holidays

Eid Al-Adha is just days away and people across the UAE are waiting for this much-awaited festival to arrive. As people get together with their families to celebrate this important festival, the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority has introduced quite a number of changes to its business hours and schedules for a bunch of services keeping the upcoming holidays in mind. This includes free public parking and even revised timings for transport services. Take a look!

Dubai RTA Announces Free Parking For 4 Days

According to a recent notification released by the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority, parking will be free for four days during the celebration of the Eid al-Adha holidays. Yes, public parking where parking fees apply generally will not be applicable from June 27, Tuesday to June 30, Friday. It should be noted that this is applicable for paid zones except for multilevel terminals. Not to mention, the day of Arafah and the three days of Eid al-Adha are included in the free parking days. So, it should be noted that the fees will be applicable from July 1, Saturday onwards.

Revision Of Timings For Some Services

However, the RTA has not just made parking free for people, they have also announced changes to the business hours of several services. According to a report by Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that the technical testing of vehicles will begin again from June 30 onwards and halls will reopen on July 1. Not to mention that customer happiness centres except those in Al Kifaf will be closed from June 27 to 13. Moreover, smart customer centres at Al Barsha, Deira, & Umm Ramool and the RTA office will operate 24/7, as it generally does.

Moreover, there is also been changes in the timings for Dubai Metro, tram, bus services, and even marine transport. Here’s a glimpse at some of these timings –
