Let’s face it, Dubai never slows down. New buildings, new residents, and now, new bus routes. Dubai RTA announced a fresh set of updates to 13 bus routes in the Emirates. If you take the bus often, you’ll want to know what’s changing. These updates could shake up your usual ride to work or back home.
Dubai RTA Changes 13 Bus Routes To Keep Up With City’s Growing Buzz
The biggest shift? Some routes now end at different stations. This move helps ease congestion and gets passengers closer to metro stops or key areas.
- Route 17 now ends at Baniyas Square Metro Station, instead of Sabkha Bus Station.
- Route E16 terminates at Union Bus Station, also ditching Sabkha.
- Route C26 moves its endpoint to Max Metro Bus Stop 2, saying goodbye to Al Jafiliya Bus Station.
- F27 also joins the Max Metro crew, switching from Al Jafiliya.
If your journey starts or ends at any of those older stops, it’s time to recheck your route. The RTA has clearly got its eye on smoother connections, especially around the metro.
Reroutes, Extensions & Fresh Stops
Some buses now snake through new paths and pick up passengers in previously uncovered pockets. This one’s a win for anyone living or working in developing or industrial zones.
- Route 24 gets a route makeover inside Al Nahda 1.
- Route 44 now ditches Rebat Street and heads toward Dubai Festival City.
- Route 56 extends its journey all the way to the DWC Staff Village.
- F47 reshuffles its path through Jebel Ali Industrial.
- F54 now pushes further to cover a new labour camp in JAFZA South.
And for the farm folks:
- Routes 66 and 67 have new stops in Al Ruwayyah Farm. That’s right, your bus now pulls closer to home.
Then there’s Route 32C. The segment between Al Jafiliya Bus Station and Satwa Bus Station is no longer in play. But don’t stress, if you still need to reach Satwa, just hop off at the nearest transfer point and board the F27. Easy fix. Lastly, F12 gets rerouted too, now gliding along Kuwait Street after the Satwa Roundabout, skipping its old swing near Wasal Park.

The Bigger Picture
You’ll likely see quicker connections to metro stations, fewer packed buses at old-school stops, and way better access to newly developed areas. The move also makes life easier for workers in industrial areas and labour camps, where transport access often gets overlooked. Need a sign to ditch that car and ride the bus more often? This is it. Check your route, grab that Nol card, and let Dubai’s buses do the driving.
