Dubai is slowly unlocking in phases. And now after a gap of two years, Dubai Safari park is ready to welcome visitors once again. Visitors can now visit the majestic park from October 5, 2020. A whopping 119 hectares park houses a community of 3,000 mammals, birds, amphibians and invertebrates. Activities like animal feeding, educational, awareness programmes and other events have been added to the list to help visitors have a great time.

Dubai Safari is home to a group of new animals, including African elephants and giraffes. Rare animals at the park include the Komodo dragon, Spiral-horned antelope, Arabian Oryx, coloured African wild dog, gorilla, gibbon, bongo, and lemur.

On the opening of the park, Dawoud Al Hajri, Director General of Dubai Municipality, said:
“The Dubai Safari Park contributes to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the emirate the world’s most preferred lifestyle, leisure and tourist destination. Dubai Municipality continues to introduce new initiatives to support His Highness’s objective of creating a happiness-centred model of development.”
The Park Has Three Villages, All Of Which Showcase Different Animals From The World
In terms of the park, it comprises three villages. The African Village includes varied animals from Africa, giving visitors a true glimpse of the vast continent. It also allows seeing some of the largest and smallest land mammals in the world, ranging from the African elephant to the Meerkat. Also, the Bird House and Reptile House in the Village have more than 30 distinct species of reptiles.

The second village is Asian Village. It focuses majorly on the diversity of the continent that is known for its diverse wildlife. The ‘Amazing Creatures of the World’ show in the Village lets guests see a variety of animals as they display their natural behaviours.
The Park Also Has An Arabian Desert Safari For Visitors
The third village is Explorer Village. It allows visitors to enjoy the sight of animals from all over the world ranging from giraffes to hippos. A unique Bird Show held at the village displays the glory of colourful birds. It also teaches visitors about the intricacies of the winged creatures. It also includes a bus tour that allows visitors to discover animals from Africa and Asia. The tour journeys through the African grasslands, and encounters ungulate animals of all shapes and sizes, from giraffes to antelopes and zebras. Guests can watch crocodiles, buffalos, lions, tigers, hippos, rhinoceroses, zebras, baboons, antelopes, hyenas, and giraffes.
Besides this, Dubai safari park also offers Arabian Desert Safari. It allows visitors to undertake a trip in an open vehicle to see many species of animals from the Arabian Peninsula. The Tour includes an audio guide that tells visitors about the most famous animals in the local desert and current animal conservation programmes.
