World records aren’t new for Dubai and now, we’ve got another addition to the cap! Recently, Dubai made the biggest mosaic Emirati Flag, made from greeting cards. Each card had a message of hope, providing positivity in a situation like this. The initiative is a collaboration between Emirati Red Crescent, the Government of Dubai, and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. It aims at providing support to the families affected by the pandemic.

The National Food Product Company (NFPC) sponsored the campaign. The mosaic Emirati flag campaign distributed 49000 food parcels to those in need. Each packet contained commodities such as rice, flour, edible oil, sugar, salt, hand sanitizers, as well as bottled water offered by Oasis Water Company. Each package was accompanied by a card, to the needy families which included the phrase ‘”Don’t Worry” as a message of support and love.
These cards were used to innovate the biggest mosaic Emirati Flag which was the first and the largest flag of good cause. The UAE flag measures a whopping 498.33-meter square and was placed at the courtyard of the Police Academy, at Al Wasal district. This masterpiece of art was held for two weeks, allowing the audience and pedestrians to observe.
