Dubai To Stop Temperature Checks At Stores From January 1

Ahead of 2021, Dubai authorities have updated the covid safety protocols for retail outlets in the emirate. The Dubai Economy announced the updated rules on Twitter, which will come into play from January 1. For the updates, thermal scanners and manual temperature check will not be a mandate anymore. Besides this, protocols for valet parking have also been updated. Covering of steering wheel and seats with plastic will won’t be a mandate from January 1, 2021.

The New Update Was Announced After Stores Were Found Compliant To Safety Measures

The step to update the rules was taken after the authorities found that all the business were compliant with Covid safety measures. The new update comes a day after His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the extension of tourist visas for an additional month, without government fees. The move was announced in light of interim airport closures and entry restrictions around the world.

Abu Dhabi Resumes Public Bus Services To The Other Emirates From Today

Well, not only this, Dr Omar AL Hammadi, official spokesperson for the UAE Government also recently announced that UAE is ranked as the 10th best country in the world in treating the Covid-19 virus. Overall, the nation has carried out about 20.6 million Covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic.

And with new updates and rules in place, we are sure that the country will soon be able to control the cases and win over the virus. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi has now resumed public bus services to other emirates from Today. For now, the buses will operate at 50 per cent passenger capacity, and the frequency of the buses will increase depending on the demand.
