Dubai Women’s Run Is Returning For Its 10th Edition This November & Here’s All About It

Isn’t there something absolutely freezing about running at top speed while the wind blows through your hair, and you glide across the street? Well, if running is not just a sport, but something that you do for fun then you are in for some brilliant news as the Dubai Women’s Run is making its way back to the emirate this November and we are here to spill all the details relating to the 10th edition happening at Dubai Festival City.

Dubai Women’s Run Is Coming Back To The Emirate This November

If you are someone who likes to run for athletic competitions, then you are in for some brilliant news. We say this because Dubai Women’s Run, which is the largest female sports event is headed back to the emirate this November. This upcoming event will be organised by the Plan B Group along with the UAE Athletics Federation & the Dubai Sports Council. With the aim of bringing female health and well-being to the forefront, the 10th edition of this event will be flagged off by Her Excellency, Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and Environment. As it happens, she will be present along with other representatives from the latter two groups.

There Will Be Three Categories Of This Event

As this race is in line with the theme of sustainability this year, it will be organised using only solar and human power-generated features for running the Dubai Women’s Run Village and mainstage that will be set up at the Dubai Festival City. As the event is happening on November 5, the materials used for everything related to T-shirts and race day kits will be made from reusable and eco-solvent ink and recycled paper.

Coming to the race, there will be three categories – 3 km, 5 km, and 10 km. The first three winners of the latter two categories will be given cash prizes. So, for the winners of the 10 km race, the prize will be AED5000, for second place it will be AED3000 and for the third place it will be AED2000. Similarly, for a 5 km run, the first prize will be AED3000, the second will be AED2000, and the third will be AED1000.
