Dubai has started to feel like a new home for types of aerial stunts. After the recent lady in red was witnessed swinging her way through the Dubai skies, another such stunt has surfaced in Dubai. Five XDubai wingsuit athletes pulled off a high-speed precision flight around Ciel Dubai Marina. One flyer even blasted through a tight opening in the officially world’s tallest hotel. A move athletes nicknamed the “eye of the needle,” at speeds topping 200 km/h.

XDubai Wingsuit Stunt At Ciel Dubai Marina

According to a report by Gulf News, the stunt marked the official opening of Ciel Dubai Marina and turned the skyline into a live action show. The city partnered with XDubai and the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to produce a launch moment that people neither ignore nor forget in years to come.

A High-Risk Flight With Zero Margin For Mistakes

Wingsuit flying is already intense. Add a glass-and-steel skyscraper into the flight path, and the difficulty level shoots through the roof. The lead skydiver handled the most dangerous segment, slicing through a narrow architectural gap in the tower structure. The rest of the team held a tight formation around the building, painting the air with coloured smoke trails as they passed.

Drone Footage Captured Angles No One Else Could See

A custom FPV drone chased the athletes through the flight path and around the tower edges. That camera setup captured close-range angles. The footage shows how close the flyers moved to the structure and how fast they cleared off.

FPV drones now play a big role in modern stunt coverage as they keep pace, change direction quickly, and bring viewers right into the flight line.

Ciel Dubai Marina stands 377 metres tall and spans 82 floors. The tower now holds the title of world’s tallest hotel. The building combines hospitality, leisure spaces, and observation areas.

Hence, this special tower required a special opening and not the casual ribbon cutting. The launch matched Dubai’s reputation for spectacle and scale.

Dubai Keeps Turning Stunts Into Strategy

Dubai does not treat extreme sports as side entertainment. The city uses them as part of its global identity playbook. XDubai has led several record-setting and high-visibility stunts over the years, and each one ties back to tourism, branding, and destination marketing.
