This year’s celebration stands out as the Chinese Spring Festival coincides with Ramadan in 2026. According to a report by Gulf News, it creates a rare moment of cultural overlap that Dubai handles with ease. Festivities begin at 10 am with cultural displays and a busy fair. It’s advised that visitors arrive around noon to fully enjoy the festivities before the main parade begins at 3 pm.
The Parade That Steals The Show
The headline moment is the grand parade with traditional Chinese dancers filling the route with movement and colour. Modern elements like Chinese automobile showcases real horses will appearances will, mark the Year of the Horse in the most literal way possible.
The 40-minute programme packs a lot into a short time. Get ready for powerful performances from the Xinjiang dance group. It’s a traditional wedding ceremony inspired by the Song Dynasty. The celebration does not stop when the parade ends. Around 60 kiosks will line the area, serving Chinese street food, handmade items, and souvenirs. The energy carries through until 7 pm, when the event wraps up with a concert at the Wasl Dome. The Jilin Provincial Culture and Art Troupe will share the stage with the UAE’s Firdaus Orchestra, blending musical styles. Tickets for the concert have already sold out on Platinumlist, but organisers have teased a surprise for attendees, so keep an eye out.

Celebrations Start Earlier Than You Think
Those eager to start early have the option of wandering through a Spring Festival gala organised by the Chinese community, which takes place on February 4 at 7 pm. On February 6, the “Happy Chinese New Year” Grand Gala lights up the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi. The shows are at 6:50 pm, 8 pm, and 9 pm, followed by fireworks at 9:30 pm.
