Emirates Warns Of Major US Airport Delays Ahead Of Thanksgiving

Are you flying out of the US this week? You’ve got to be really patient during this trip. Emirates has issued a fresh travel advisory for all passengers departing from its US destinations. It’s Thanksgiving season ahead, and Emirates has warned of major airport delays and long security queues at US Airports. The festive travel madness is real, and you’ve got to be alert for the season.

Emirates Advises Travellers To Arrive Early Amid Major US Airport Delays

The airline is urging travellers to arrive at least four hours before departure. This will help passengers avoid missing their flights. The time might sound excessive to you, but with the current situation seems difficult, and hence it’s better to take precautions than aftercare.

Airports In A Tangle

Here’s the lowdown on the current conditions in US airports. They are facing massive disruption due to an ongoing government shutdown. What seemed like a few-day affair has now been dragged into its 41st day. The airports are witnessing staffing shortages, longer screening times, and frustrated crowds building up across terminals.

According to flight-tracking site FlightAware, over 3,300 flights were cancelled and nearly 10,000 delayed across the US on Sunday alone. With Thanksgiving season ahead,  weekend things could get even more chaotic as we already know its one of the busiest seasons for travel.

Emirates Flights From 11 Major US Cities

Emirates operates flights from 11 major American cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C.
