And it was recently revealed by the airline that it has plans to offer some major upgrades to its economy class, including offering a free meal. This comes ahead of the Dubai Airshow, which is scheduled to take place in the emirate next month. Here’s all you need to know about this massive development related to the airline.

flydubai To Upgrade Economy Class Offerings

As revealed by flydubai on its official website, the airline has announced that soon it will include free meals and in-flight entertainment across all Economy Class fares. As it happens, the report also mentioned that this will come into effect from November 2025, which would mark a significant shift in the business model of the airline. The on-board menu is expected to feature delicious and authentic flavours that are inspired by the destinations that the carrier serves. These could include everything from regional dishes from African and European cuisines to Indian, Middle Eastern, and Russian cuisines. However, the offerings are bound to vary on the basis of route and the flight duration.

Coming to the entertainment, the airline will offer passengers access to more than 1,000 movies from Bollywood, Arabic, Hollywood, and international cinema. Additionally, passengers can also expect popular TV shows from channels like HBO Max, Cartoon Network, and BBC Kids. They will also get access to interactive games and access to more than 700 music albums and podcast episodes.

This move by the airline comes at a time when it is continuing to grow its fleet. Yes, the airline received nine new aircraft. Just this year, which has increased its fleet to 95 Boeing 737s. Additionally, the airline is also adding more routes to its network! After all, it recently launched flights to destinations like Iași in Romania and Chișinău in Moldova. Soon, it would also start flights to Vilnius in Lithuania and Riga in Latvia.
