The Museum of the Future isn’t doubted as one of the most renowned spots in Dubai. A famous landmark, it’s also a great place for people looking to go on an immersive journey. They now have something special on display for visitors in Dubai. If you haven’t already from a title, the Museum of the Future is displaying a full-scale model of the flying taxi that is expected to take off in Dubai the next year.

With flying taxis expected to start operations in Dubai early next year, the Museum of the Future is currently displaying a prototype of the vehicle. Yes, this flying taxi is approximately the size of a chopper and is located on the second floor of the museum. Visitors will be greeted by the impressive full-scale model, which has been designed to carry up to four people at a time. Offering a smooth and efficient way to navigate the city, it features six rotors and three rounded landing skids. Not to mention, the design of the taxi set it apart from helicopters, and of course, the fantastic display has drawn significant attention from the people.

Residents Enthusiastic About The Launch

Curious visitors were left dumbfounded as they visited the Museum of Future where this flying taxi is being displayed. As revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, several residents were enthusiastic about the service and couldn’t wait for it to begin in Dubai. In fact, they even agreed that they were ready to pay AED150 for a ride in this taxi. However, it’s worth mentioning in the same breath that authorities are yet to announce the fare for the eco-friendly aerial taxi. It has a range of up to 161 km and a maximum speed of 322 km/h, the taxis are a quiet alternative to traditional helicopters.

Flying Taxis Expected To Launch By 2026

It’s worth mentioning that a trip from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah Is expected to take just 12 minutes with a taxi, which is brilliant. After all, it takes 45 minutes to travel between the two destinations by car. A lot of people are excited about this development as it offers a break from the traffic in Dubai.

This is a brilliant development and people are already excited. Dubai with the launch of flying taxis would become the first city in the world to launch such a public transport. With operations expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026, these fully electric flying taxis are expected to produce zero emissions. Not to mention, it also aligns with the goal of Dubai to achieve 25% self-driving trips by 2030.
