With the ban in place on the e-scooter and e-bike, residents in the community and visitors will not be able to walk worry-free in the area. They have certainly welcomed this decision as the paths have now widened once again. This development comes after Dubai residents have called for stricter rules for such riders to ensure public safety. People were worried about walking, as they were scared of getting hit by an e-scooter rider.

The development also comes after the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority recently banned e-scooters inside the metro in March. The micro-mobility device was banned due to the potential of catching fire. Additionally, the AI-powered reports, which were tested back in March in collaboration with Dubai Police were also able to detect violations that were committed by bicycle and e-scooter riders on the beach of Jumeirah 3.

So, with this development, pedestrian certainly have a sign of relief as they no longer have to look over their back for any oncoming e-bikes or e-scooters as they walk.
