Are you in the mood for some adventure? If yes, then you can soon scale new heights in Dubai. Mountain Extreme, a rock climbing destination, which was located in Business Bay, is set to reopen in October. The thrilling rock climbing space has shifted to a new location- Al Quoz. At this new space, it will feature climbing spaces fording more than 9,000 square feet. Hence, being touted as the city’s largest rock climbing centre.
Here’s Everything You Should Expect At The New Location
The new location will have a training and a warm-up zone with a MoonBoard, an interactive and computerised training wall. All this will help the climbers to see their problem areas and share performance rankings with others around the world. Space will further have challenging climbing routes for people who are pro at it.
For beginners, who are looking to have some, Mountain Extreme will offer the Nicas scheme – a UK climbing programme designed to promote the development and accredited individual achievements on climbing walls. People aged over-7 can use this. The main aim of this new sport is to introduce more people to rock climbing. Those looking for a little rest after a climb – or parents killing time while their children scale the walls – can head to a speciality coffee shop on the mezzanine deck, which features views of the action.

The Rock Climbing Space Is Yet To Open For Visitors But Members Can Start Using The Facilities Now
The official reopening is set for this month; members can start visiting the facility now. Founder of Mountain Extreme, James Falchetto, says this is all part of safety precautions to minimise the spread of Covid-19.
He adds,
“We have to limit the number of people we can welcome at any one time. Our members from our first location deserve to be the first to try the new gym, so they get to book themselves in. We are just not allowing walk-ins and day passes in order to control the number of people in the gym and keep a comfortable and safe environment for everyone. “
The climbing walls are created, keeping all the social distancing rules in mind. Routes and boulders at the space have been separated by blank space. In terms of maintaining the safety, Falchetto said,
“We are sanitising the mats and holds regularly, climbers have to disinfect their hands before and after climbing, and we have suspended lending climbing equipment to avoid contamination. “
Memberships start from AED 650 per person for a month. Details can be found at mtnextreme.com/membership
