With a distinctive fusion of music, lifestyle, and environmental consciousness, Echoes of Earth is India’s greenest music event, fostering harmony between music, art, and conservation. The Echoes of Earth 2024 Theme

This year’s Echoes of Earth theme, “Symphony of Seasons,” is incredibly captivating. It honours the influence of the seasons on the environment and encourages sustainable lifestyle choices. It’s India’s largest musical gathering of its kind. There are many different genres, styles, instruments, and cultural influences featured in this seventh edition.

Moreover, India’s greenest music festival, Echoes of Earth, was introduced in 2016. It features installations and stages constructed from repurposed and recyclable materials. It encourages reducing, recycling, and reusing.

More Details About This Festival Happening In Delhi

With a main session on “Coexistence with Urban Wildlife” led by Benhail Antao, Echoes of Earth will hold an educational and musical event in Delhi on November 15. The session will highlight the city’s urban flora and fauna as markers of the changing seasons. Benhail Antao is a conservationist and the host of the Asian Academy Award-winning National Geographic series Snakes SOS: Goa’s Wildest.

A panel discussion with scholars Neha Sinha, Anita Mani, and Vallari Sheel on “Seasonal Sentinels: Trees as Indicators of Change in Delhi’s Urban Landscape” is also being hosted by WWF-India. Highlighting the seasonal variations in Delhi’s urban trees and investigating sustainable measures to preserve and care for them for future generations are the goals of the conversation. Further, rewilding and eco-restoration practitioner Vijay Dhasmana will conduct the panel discussion.

Vieux Farka Touré, commonly known as “The Hendrix of the Sahara,” is a Malian guitarist who will perform following the discussions. He is renowned for his distinctive fusion of traditional West African music with international influences. He started his musical career in 2007 with an album of the same name that included collaborations with Toumani Diabaté. His work, which includes albums like “The Tel Aviv Session,” “Mon Pays,” and “Ali,” demonstrates his inventiveness and virtuosity, establishing him as a major player in the world of music.

On November 17, Mumbai will host a special preview event for the festival. The program will include a presentation on “Monsoon Serpents: Unveiling the Misunderstood Reptiles,” a visual storytelling showcase with Shaaz Jung. Furthermore, there will be an instructional session on “Know Your Fish” that will be led by Divya. Experts from WWF-India will also participate in a panel discussion on “Welcoming Winged Visitors: Protecting Migratory Birds in Mumbai through Sustainable Action.” The event also features a mesmerising jazz performance by Vieux Farka Touré.
