How Did Eldersons Come About?
A common frustration gave rise to the concept of Eldersons Real Fruit Soft Drinks: how could the market be overrun with sugary beverages posing as ‘healthy’ alternatives? The two business owners wished to alter this perception. After years of working in their family’s real estate company, Kunal and Utkarsh felt compelled to start their own venture that would fill a market niche.
It was exciting and difficult in the early days of establishing Eldersons. What began as a kitchen experiment quickly developed into a viable business concept. Over 420 taste tests and innumerable failed tries later, Kunal and Utkarsh had perfected the recipe for their flagship product, real fruit ginger ale.
The two best friends are the eldest sons in their respective families, which is where the brand name, Eldersons comes from. Their operations and lab are headquartered in Porvorim, where all the magic happens, while their bottling production procedures are done in Sawantwadi.

Eldersons Drinks Embraces Sustainability
These juices come in convenient 200 ml glass bottles with an MRP of ₹78. Kunal explains that they provide a small payment to the employees who pick up the bottles for them. They try to recycle as many bottles as possible and get them back from the bars and restaurants.
They have a Porvorim office where anyone can return their bottles and get a cool sticker in exchange. Eldersons sets an example for more brands to follow and take responsibility for being honest and transparent about the ingredients that their customers are consuming.
They also put a lot of effort into the branding and design to make sure it reflected their ‘unserious’ outlook on life. The quirky design reflects that Eldersons is about having fun, trying new things, and making something that people could actually enjoy—not about being too proper or polished.
