In a bid to attract more voters for the fast-approaching Maharashtra Assembly Elections, officials have struck a deal with a number of restaurants and theatres. Voters can get up to twenty per cent discount at a number of restaurants and theatres in Mumbai. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this particular election-day discount offer for Mumbai voters.

Mumbai Voters Can Get Discount At These Multiplexes And Restaurants

According to an article which was recently published by Times Now or TN, an announcement about this particular discount was made on Friday, November 9, 2024. A number of multiplexes and restaurants have agreed to give up to 20 per cent discount to voters.

So, if you’re voting, here’s where and how you can avail of these discounts. Major multiplex chains like Cineplex and PVR INOX as well as Mirage will give discounts to those who have inked their fingers. In addition to this, the Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association or AHAR will also participate in this initiative.

It has agreed to offer a discount of up to 20 per cent to those people who show their inked fingers at participating restaurants. This was made possible because officials from the Election Commission spoke to the local trade associations who readily agreed.

Other Important Details About This Election-Day Discount

This discount initiative is a part of the Utsav Nivadnukicha, Abhiman Maharashtracha campaign. The campaign is an effort to boost voter turnout for the elections scheduled on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

If reports are to go by, these discounts can be availed on November 20 and 21, 2024. It is important to note, however, that these discounts will not be applied to online bookings and purchases.
