As Muslims around the world prepare to perform Hajj during these coming weeks, Emirates is also doing its bit for the community. Yes, the airline is ramping up its operations for this year and for this purpose, they have added 33 special flights to Jeddah and Madinah. And these flights will begin operations from May 31. Here’s all you need to know about how the airline plans to support Hajjis.
Emirates To Launch Additional Hajj Flights
Starting its flights from May 31, this will be between June 10 and 16. Through their additional flights, thousands of pilgrims travelling for this religious duty will be able to take a comfortable journey to the holy city of Mecca. Additionally, Emirates will also operate 13 flights from regional destinations. Yes, these include Amman, Damman, Bahrain, and Kuwait. This is being done to meet high demand during the period. It’s worth mentioning that Emirates will be transporting about 32,000 Hajj passengers during the course of the next three weeks
A Special Hajj Kit For Pilgrims
For a complete on-board experience, this stellar service begins on the ground. Once the pilgrim arrives in Dubai, a dedicated airport team will be guiding them through the arrivals, connections, and even hotel transfers. The pilgrims will be able to receive a unique Hajj luggage tag along with the newly introduced Hajj Kit. This Hajj Kit will feature tasbih beads for prayer, silicone water bottles, a prayer mat, and even cushioned non-slip socks.
Offering a comfortable journey, the Hajj-special flights have been customised for a great experience. It includes special announcements marking Al Miqat zones, ablution-friendly amenities, unperfumed towels, and dedicated Hajj content on ice. Not to mention, passengers who are returning from Jeddah and Madinah will be able to check in up to 5 L of ZamZam, which will be placed in the designated cargo area of the aircraft.

Traditional Dishes Available For Pilgrims Onboard
Not only this, customers will be able to enjoy traditional dishes, such as Lamb Madfoon and Chicken Zurbian. This will be available in First, Business and Premium Economy Class, where they will also be served Pistachio and Chocolate Nammoura Cake and White Chocolate & Rahash Mousse cake. For those in Economy Class, they will be able to savour Pistachio Cake & Coffee Cake. Customers travelling in Business and First Class from Jeddah will be able to choose from an array of delectable dishes and desserts. Yes, these include palatable options like Lamb Mathlouta, Lamb Saleeg, Henaini and Cheese Kunafa.
