SAOLA is a super typhoon that has affected many people as it brushed past the Northern section of Luzon island on Saturday. As a result, hundreds of people left their homes due to the unstable weather conditions, which included strong winds and heavy incessant rainfall. Emirates, which is a Dubai-based airline announced on August 31 that their flights to and from Hong Kong will be cancelled for the next two days. So, if you do the maths, this means the flight will be cancelled on September 1 and 2, which is today and tomorrow. Yes, going by a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned by the airline on its website that the cancellations have been done due to the severe weather conditions that are prevailing due to the super typhoon SAOLA. In case you’re wondering about the flights that have been cancelled, these include the following names for the two days.

September 1

EK380, EK384 DXB‑HKG and BKK‑HKG

September 2

EK381, EK385 HKG‑DXB and HKG‑BKK

As it happens, the report also mentioned that the airlines had added that the customers who intend to travel to or are connecting to Dubai could not be accepted into the flights at the point of origin. Not to mention, that travellers have also been advised to contact their travel agents, in case they made their bookings through them. However, in case the bookings for the flight had been made through the website itself, customers can reach local offices for re-booking.

For those who aren’t aware, super typhoon, SAOLA, already ravaged the Northeastern Philippines. As a result, hundreds of people left their homes as it was flooded!
