Codeshare Agreements between airlines not only benefit the passengers but also open business opportunities for the companies. Recently, Emirates has signed a codeshare partnership with Avianca, one of the largest Latin-American carriers, and here’s what passengers can expect.
Emirates And Avianca Launch Codeshare Partnership
There’s a new codeshare agreement between Emirates and Avianca. Customers of both airlines may now travel on some routes with a seamless connection, thanks to the new cooperation. Codeshare flights begin on June 4 and tickets may be purchased instantly through the websites, the Emirates and Avianca Apps, contact centres, or online and offline travel agencies.
Customers of both airlines will benefit from cheap pricing and easy booking of journeys on both airlines on a single ticket. Not to forget the seamless connection and a common baggage policy that is carried through to the final destination. In addition to other convenient travel features, Emirates customers who fly from its network via Madrid, Barcelona, or London Heathrow may fly directly to three sites in Colombia and experience a seamless connection. Bogotá to Barcelona, London Heathrow to Bogotá, and Madrid to Medellin or Cali are all destinations served by codeshare flights.
This Agreement Will Help The Expansion!
On flights run by Emirates between Barcelona, Madrid, or London Heathrow and Dubai, Avianca will place its code. Customers of the Colombian airline will travel on widebody aircraft operated by Emirates. They will experience first-class dining, lie-flat seats in premium cabins, and an abundance of content on the airline’s in-flight entertainment system.
The CCO of Emirates and the CRO of Avianca have expressed their excitement regarding this codeshare partnership. According to them, this agreement will enable them to expand their reach, further bringing Dubai and Europe closer. This alliance is a testament to and acknowledgement of Avianca’s performance history. And to its top-notch operational metrics, and the robustness of its route network. Emirates will provide Avianca passengers with additional advantages including a single baggage policy and seamless connectivity, in addition to links via locations in Spain and London Heathrow to and from Dubai.
