Emirates Expects Over 70K Travellers To Travel Through Dubai On January 2 & 3

New Year is around the corner and UAE has all plans in place  for tourists and residents. From free extended tourist visas to permitting metros to run for 44 hours straight, Dubai’s New Year plans are on point. And with it comes yet another busy day at the Dubai International Airport. Emirates is expecting over 70k passengers to travel though Dubai on 2 and 3 January.

Passengers Must Arrive At Least 3 Hours Prior To Departure

DXB’s terminal 3 is all set for yet another busy day. With New Year coming up, Emirates is expecting more than 70k passengers to travel via Dubai on 2 and 3 January. Customers departing from Terminal 3 are urged to arrive at least 3 hours before their departure. Customers who show up less than 60 minutes before their flight timing will not be accepted on the flight.

Passengers Can Use Self Check-In And Bag Drop Kiosks

Passengers can also opt to use self check-in and bag drop kiosks installed at the airport. Over 32 new self-service bag drop machines and 16 self-service kiosks are installed for the convenience of travellers. However, passengers flying to the US, Canada, China, India or Hong Kong cannot use self check-in as these destinations require further checking processes. Emirates has also reopened smart gates that were initially closed during the pandemic.

In addition, the Emirates smart tunnel is also functional. The contactless method helps passengers navigate through the airport without any human intervention. The new technique uses biometric and facial recognition tests at specific check-in desks, entry to the Emirates Lounge and boarding gates.

The airline offers a refreshed look across all cabins onboard its newest A380 aircraft. The airline received its newest A380 aircraft from Airbus’ and it screams all things fancy.
