The holy month of Ramadan is nearly here and Emirates, as always, is doing its best to ensure that flyers have a pleasant flying experience during the month. For this purpose, they will be serving thousands of meal boxes for fasting customers. These meal boxes will be served both onboard and at boarding gates. Here’s more on this!
Ramadan Special Meal Boxes to Be Offered By Emirates
The Emirates Lounge in the Dubai International Airport will be offering an array of Arabic sweets, coffee and date. These will be offered during the month of Ramadan! The traditional dishes will be offered in the first and business class lounges, which will include a selection of Arabic Mezze.
Moreover, one can also expect Lentil Soup, Arabic Mixed Grill with Tahina, Lamb Mandi served with Dakous & Coriander Mint Raita, and Chicken Machboos served with Cucumber Yoghurt Sauce. Dessert will include decadent offerings, such as Pistachio Kunafa, Halawet Al Jibn, Esh Bulbul with Lotus, Basboussa Ashta, Cheese Kunafa, Walnut Kathayef, and Chocolate Baklava to name some. Similarly, Emirate Lounges in Cairo and Jeddah will also serve an array of mouthwatering Ramadan offerings that flyers would certainly wouldn’t wan.

Coming to the Iftar Boxes, these will be offered to the customers that select boarding gates. It will be done during the Iftar time and the complimentary Iftar Boxes will help them break their fast. These contain water, Laban, dates, and a banana. While on board, the captain will be announcing the Iftar timings for fasting Muslim passengers. Emirates uses a unique tour to calculate the correct timings for Imsak and Iftar while in-flight.
As it happens, Emirates is also offering delicious dishes in the meal boxes that they will be serving to customers. For this purpose, customers will be offered nutritionally balanced Ramadan meal boxes across all cabin classes. These boxes will include Hummus or Moutabel with Arabic Bread; Almond Chocolate, Walnut Baklawa, Apricot Ball & Traditional Dates; served alongside Chicken Zaatar & Mozzarella Cheese Wrap Or Lamb Shawarma & Halloumi Cheese Wrap. In fact, these Ramadan boxes will also be served on flights that will be catering to Umrah Group travelling to the cities of Madina and Jeddah. It’s worth mentioning that passengers are allowed to carry one bottle of the Islamic holy water Zamzam. These can be up to five litres per person at the Dubai International Airport.

Ramadan Special Entertainment On Ice
Not only this, the airline is also offering Ramadan special content and popular series on its entertainment platform, Ice. For the duration of Ramadan, you can expect religious content such as Hadi Al Nabi, Kalimat Fi Hob Al Rasool, Kheir Qodwa and more. In fact, popular series and dramas such as Sadaf, Dawaay Al Safar and Al Uqda will also be added.
