It’s hardly a secret that Emirates is known for offering world-class services in the aviation industry. And this was proven to be true, as the airline swept up five of the top accolades at the 30th edition of World Travel Awards gala that happened the previous week.
Shining a spotlight on the world-class service offered by the airline, Emirates ended up winning five top honours at the prestigious 2023 World Travel Awards grand final. As a result, it won recognition for everything from its First Class to in-flight entertainment.

- Leading Airline In-Flight Entertainment
The airline took home the award for this category, which is also a testament of its dedication towards keeping passengers entertained. This is hardly surprising that is it offers 6500 channels of Ice on demand. - Leading Airline Brand
The next category recognised its efforts in building and maintaining a strong and positive brand image. Today, it has successfully positioned itself as a symbol of luxury, innovation, and reliability in the aviation industry. - Leading First Class
Winning this award also proved that when it comes to luxury travel, the services offered by the airline are unparalleled. And an example of this can be seen in the fact that they offer unlimited caviar in First Class and a specially curated vegan menu. - Worlds Leading Rewards Program: Emirates Skywards
The Emirates Skywards, which is the airline’s loyalty programme, also been recognised as the World’s Leading Rewards Program.
However, it has to be noted that this isn’t the first time that the airline is being recognised for its efforts. As such, it has already won in the last 10 out of 12 ceremonies.

Etihad Airways Takes Home 3 Awards
Besides Emirates, the other UAE national carrier, Etihad Airways also got recognised for its efforts in offering a comfortable journey to its passengers. As a result, it took home three awards at the World Travel Awards 2023. The airline won the Best Customer Experience, Best Economy Class, and Best First Class Lounge, at the prestigious Gaana ceremony. Establishing itself as a warm Emirati-inspired hospitality, that is found on Etihad flights has won them the title of World’s Leading Airline For Customer Experience. The second award highlights its innovative economy smart seats, which are quite famous for a special design and signature fixed wing headrest.
Qatar Airways Also Recognised For Its Business Class
Qatar Airways also won recognition and the award ceremony. Yes, another Middle Eastern carrier, this airline secured the title of the World’s Leading Airline – Business Class, which also reflects its unwavering commitment to passenger satisfaction. This comes up after the QSuite of Qatar Airways has shown its supremacy in the category, as compared to other airlines. Not to mention, Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport together also won a significant award, as it was recognised as the World’s Leading Airline Lounge – Business Class: Al Mourjan Business Lounge.
So, it’s safe to say that Middle Eastern airlines have certainly shone bright at the awards ceremony.
