One of the common aspects of office employees in every sector is quitting jobs after a certain time. We make this significant life decision for our future, better opportunities, improved work environment, higher pay, and other reasons. If you think the reasons leading to a job transfer are usually serious, you might be wrong. We just found a guy who asked for a transfer as his colleague ate idli with ketchup and mayonnaise. As an ardent dan of idlis, I feel sad about this combination.

Gossiping and eating lunch with colleagues is one of the few fun experiences of an otherwise mundane office day. However, seeing someone eating the most unusual combination of food items can trigger upsetting experiences. As shared by the Redditor, Praveen, an office employee ended up requesting a transfer to another branch because he saw his colleague eating idli and sambar with ketchup and mayonnaise.

He drafted the transfer mail sharing, “I pray that this never happens again with anyone! So during lunch break, my eyes saw something they shouldn’t have and if I could donate my eyes right now, I would.” Praveen further added, “A colleague, who I won’t name for privacy reasons, used my ketchup, took the office mayonnaise bottle, and started eating them with idli sambar.”

Seeing someone eating idli with all these condiments made him very upset. Praveen finds it difficult to “continue working in an environment where such practices are tolerated.” And hence, he asked for a transfer to another branch.

Do Redditors Approve?

Soft, fluffy, and yummy idlis melt in our mouths with every bite. This humble South Indian dish is a perfect breakfast option and we love relishing it with sambar. The Reddit post about the weird experiment of eating idli surely grabbed everyone’s attention. Most Redditors disapprove of the idea of eating this delicacy with tomato ketchup and mayonnaise. Hilariously, many even agreed with Praveen and his plan to transfer someplace else. A Netizen reacted by saying, “He should be granted his wish. Also should be given free medical support for his eyes to recover from the trauma they have experienced.”
