Amaltas is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at breaking gender stereotypes and creating opportunities for women in the hospitality industry. From management to customer service, every aspect of the hotel will be run by women, marking a significant shift in Madhya Pradesh’s tourism sector. Chief Minister Yadav expressed his pride in the project, calling it a reflection of the state’s dedication to promoting women’s empowerment, according to CNBC TV 18 reports. He emphasised that the hotel is an example of how women can excel in industries traditionally dominated by men.

The Chief Minister also spotlighted the growing tourism industry in Madhya Pradesh, with 11 crore tourists expected in 2024. He recognised the joint efforts of the state government and tourism industry stakeholders. He also praised the role of women in both tourism and India’s cultural heritage. According to CNBC TV 18, he spoke about the respect and reverence women have in Indian culture, often seen as the backbone of families and the nation itself.

During the inauguration, the Chief Minister interacted with the female staff at Amaltas. He also offered them gifts as a gesture of appreciation, according to a report published by Deccan Herald. These interactions were meant to emphasise the hotel’s goal of empowering women and giving them a chance to showcase their talents in a supportive setting.

Located in the peaceful hills of Pachmarhi, Amaltas offers more than just a place to stay. The hotel provides a serene retreat with stunning views of the surrounding greenery, making it an ideal spot for anyone seeking a peaceful escape. The hotel also caters to those with dietary preferences, offering only vegetarian food with a special focus on South Indian cuisine.

Amaltas promises a unique and rewarding experience for both its guests and the women who run it.

The opening of this all-women hotel aligns with the broader efforts of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to position the state as a premier adventure tourism hub. This recognition was cemented recently when the state was awarded the ‘Best Adventure Tourism State’ title at the Adventure Tour Operators Association of India’s national convention in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.
