And as Doha celebrates the annual date festival, Ritz-Carlton Doha has a treat for its guests. We are talking about date-inspired gastronomic experiences that are currently underway at the prestigious hotel.
Ritz-Carlton Introduces Date-Inspired Dishes
The culinary team of Ritz-Carlton hardly needs any introduction. Known for offering delectable dishes, the team has now curated a selection of mouthwatering gastronomic experiences that have been inspired by the annual date festival. A prominent and important feature in the Qatari social calendar, this is running till August 3, 2024. Set against the backdrop of the lobby lounge, guests will be able to indulge in date cookies, which will be served with coffee. These are a stand-in for chocolate cookies and these delectable cookies, which made a debut this year, have been delightfully sweetened.
In the buffet for breakfast, hotel guests can also chomp down on croissants that have been filled with dates while also chugging down detox juices and smoothies that have received a healthy injection of this beneficial fruit. In fact, even the ice cream has received a major date makeover. Their gelato flavour is rich and creamy, making it a favourite amongst kids.
More About The Date Festival
For those who weren’t aware, this is the ninth edition of the local fresh date festival wherein 110 farms have been featured. It opened at the Eastern Yard Of Souq Waqif and fresh dates of high quality from local farms have been brought to the festival. Happening till August 3, the festival has been organised by Souq Waqif Management and Agricultural Affairs Department of the Ministry of Municipality. It should be noted that this festival is open to the public from 4 PM to 9 PM and till 10 PM on Fridays.
