Gaming isn’t the only thing drawing crowds in Riyadh this July. As the Esports World Cup 2025 kicks off at SEF Arena, the Culinary Arts Commission is serving up something equally bold. From July 10 to 19, Boulevard City transforms into a buzzing Street Food Festival that celebrates Saudi Arabia’s culinary roots.

Street Food Festival Joins Esports World Cup 2025 In Riyadh

Launched alongside the Esports World Cup, the Street Food Festival gives Saudi chefs and regional flavours a global audience. This food festival isn’t just about filling plates. It’s the Culinary Arts Commission’s way of letting the world taste Saudi identity, one bite at a time. The festival dives deep into the Kingdom’s most traditional recipes. You’ll be savouring smoky grills inspired by the mountains of Asir to seafood laced with Gulf coast spices.

Live Cooking Shows, Ice Cream, And More

Each evening from 6 pm to 1 am, Boulevard City will turn into a street food siesta. Chefs are out in full force, scooping fresh Saudi ice cream by hand, brewing bold cups of traditional coffee, and plating up sticky-sweet date desserts that taste like home. Live cooking shows offer front-row seats to heritage recipes in action.

This is not a sideshow to the esports action. The festival is a full cultural experience, complete with open-air stalls, regional decor, and chefs eager to tell their stories.

Putting Local Chefs On A Global Stage

One of the key goals behind the festival is to give Saudi chefs a platform during a global event. With international players, fans, and media in town, this is the ideal moment to shine a spotlight on the Kingdom’s rising culinary talent. The chefs participating are presenting their heritage, their craft, and in many cases, years of family tradition.

Perfect Timing With Global Attention On Riyadh

With thousands arriving in Riyadh for the tournament, the festival is perfectly timed. It gives international guests a taste of Saudi life outside the gaming halls. For many locals, it’s a rare chance to rediscover the variety of their own cuisine. For tourists, it’s a welcome surprise.
