Etihad Airways Reveals New Fleet Of A321 LR With First Class Suits, 4K Screens In Economy & More

The Arabian Travel Market has returned for its new edition for 2025. Many companies in the travel industry are participating in the ongoing event, and Etihad Airways is one of them. One of the UAE’s flag carriers, the airline announced a major step in its scale of operations. Yes, they talked about the incoming Airbus A321 LR twinjets. Yes, with the aim of doubling their fleet and increasing passenger numbers by 2030, here is all you need to know about the new fleet of the airline.

Etihad Airways Introduces A321 LR Aircraft

As revealed in its post on X, Etihad Airways will soon be launching its first A321 LR aircraft. This new aircraft of the airline will enter into service on August 1, 2025. The fleet will be travelling to several destinations, such as Athens, Copenhagen, Algiers, Dusseldorf, Bangkok, Krabi, Chennai, Kolkata, Medan, Phnom Penh, Milan, Riyadh, Tunis, Phuket, and Zürich. What’s exciting about this aircraft is that this narrow-body Airbus offers a luxury experience on short and medium flights. It’s worth mentioning that these are mostly available on the wide-body aircraft.

The key highlight of this aircraft is the new First Suite. This is a private luxury space, and there are only two of them on each plane. Offering a high-end experience, this kind of luxury is often found on long-haul flights. However, now this is also available on short and medium flights! Their aircraft will also have 14 lie-flat business seats that will give direct access, along with an economy upgrade. And the most important inclusion happens to be the two first-class suites.

It Features The All-New First Suite,

Talking about the First Suite in detail, these will be located in the first row of the passenger cabin. It will offer extra space for premium passengers, and the aircraft itself will offer a three-class configuration. Complete with first-class amenities, in-flight dining, and a slew of bespoke services, flying with A321 LR is bound to make things easy for people. The suit offers an additional space for companions to sit, and there’s a large 20-inch 4K screen. This comes along with wireless charging and Bluetooth pairing.

What About The Rest Of The Aircraft?

Coming to the business class, it features wide-body style seats. They are all facing forward and give direct access to the aisle. With a herringbone layout, these are 14 in total and have 78’’ beds. With each seat having a 17.3-inch 4K screen, these come along with wireless charging, Bluetooth headphones pairing, and ample storage space as well. For the economy class, there are 144 seats. Yes, these can recline up to 5’’ and feature enhanced ergonomics and generous space. These are one of the widest economy seats in the industry and feature a 13.3-inch 4K touchscreen. They come along with USB charging and access to next next-generation entertainment system, making the flights absolutely comfortable for flyers.

Doesn’t it all sound absolutely fantastic? Well, then, we certainly can’t wait for them to introduce these new aircraft into service.
