Etihad will kickstart flights to Seoul, Singapore, Manila and Jakarta starting today. The flight services are launched in order to deport people who are stuck in the UAE, ever since the UAE airports closed on 24 March. The is done in coordination with local authorities to help those who were unable to return home from the UAE.
Here’s a list of flights from Abu Dhabi available for booking now:
Seoul: April 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17 and 19
Singapore: April 7, 11, 14, 18 and 21
Manila: April 8, 10, 11, 15, 17 and 18
Jakarta: April 9 and 16
Those who wish to book flights can do so using the Etihad website, the Etihad mobile app, or call the Etihad Contact Centre on +971 600 555 666.
What Else?
Emirates has received a go-ahead to start flying a limited number of passenger flights from the UAE. The operations will begin from 6 April. The President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman, Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group, HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum announced on Twitter, earlier today.
The airlines will then gradually resume services over time. The tweet read:
“Over time, @Emirates looks forward to the gradual resumption of passenger services in line with lifting of travel & operational restrictions, including assurance of health measures to safeguard our people & customers. Their safety & well-being will always be our top priority”
