The Sharjah International Film Festival for Children and Youth (SIFF) has confirmed the dates for its 13th edition, running from 25 October to 1 November 2026 across City Centre Al Zahia and House of Wisdom in Sharjah. The eight-day event will once again bring international cinema, emerging talent and cultural exchange to young audiences under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council.

Sharjah International Film Festival Announces 13th Edition Dates

The headline feature of this year’s edition is the naming of Italy as Country of Honour, spotlighting a nation whose cinematic legacy has shaped generations of storytellers worldwide. Through the honour, SIFF aims to introduce children and young audiences to Italian film and culture while deepening creative ties between the UAE, Italy and the broader international filmmaking community.

A Decade-Plus of Championing Youth Cinema

Organised by FANN, SIFF has spent more than ten years building a platform dedicated to cinema made for, and increasingly by, younger generations. The 2026 edition will continue that mission, offering a mix of international and Arab films alongside interactive experiences designed to connect young audiences directly with filmmakers and storytellers from around the world.

Over its eight days, the festival will transform City Centre Al Zahia and House of Wisdom into a hub for cinema, culture and creativity, reinforcing Sharjah’s standing as a regional centre for arts and youth-focused cultural programming.
