We Enjoyed Some Delicious Chaat With Ravi Gupta
Purani Dilli is celebrated globally for its delectable street food. We were eager to know if Ravi had sampled these iconic dishes before. While he hadn’t visited in a long time, Ravi revealed that he used to frequent the area during his days as a full-time employee, often seeking weekend escapes to enjoy the local flavours.
The food trail began at Ashok Chaat Corner, renowned for its Aloo ki Chaat. We also savoured their refreshing Dahi Bhalle. Tasting the Aloo ki Chaat, Ravi quipped that, while delicious, it reminded him more of Kachalu, a dish he used to enjoy, rather than traditional chaat.
With his reels going viral, his popularity is on the rise. We were curious to know if people recognise him whenever he steps out of the house. Ravi shared that not only do people recognise him, but they also ask to get selfies clicked with him. He jokingly added that he doesn’t mind obliging, as he charges ₹50 for each selfie.

He Described His Fellow Comics In One Word
Our next stop in Chawri Bazaar was Jain Coffee House, a true hidden gem. Here, we enjoyed chai with a fruit sandwich, which Ravi Gupta was a little sceptical about. However, with the first bite, he could appreciate the uniqueness of this sandwich.
While enjoying these vintage vibes at this eatery, which opened in 1948, we asked Ravi to describe his fellow comics in one word each. He described Zakir Khan as an inspiration, called Samay Raina crazy and called Kunal Kamra a good human.
He called Abhishek Upamanyu a sweetheart and Maheep Singh mother-friendly. To learn how he described Ashish Solanki, Gaurav Gupta, and more comics, tune into the video exclusively available on the Curly Tales app.
