According to an article that was recently published by CNBC TV18, there is an advisory promoting responsible bartending and celebrations. However, there are no governmental directives restricting drink quantities.

Speaking to CNBC TV18, Shetty explained that the focus, instead, is on ensuring safe celebrations through various preventive measures. These measures include vigilant monitoring of underage drinking, managing inebriated guests, and providing transportation solutions.

Establishments are particularly mindful of patron safety after midnight when celebrations typically wind down. To facilitate safe returns home, restaurants and hotels have implemented several practical solutions.

Many venues have arranged partnerships with freelance drivers who can be hired for a fee. Additional valet services may also be deployed, allowing guests to leave their vehicles at the venue and opt for alternative transport arrangements.

Public transportation options, including ride-hailing services like Ola and Uber, also are readily available. The hospitality industry stands unique in its operation during the festive period when most other sectors cease operations.

Shetty emphasised that whilst they aim to deliver exemplary service, their primary concern remains guest safety. Bartenders and managers are empowered to make discretionary decisions regarding service to visibly intoxicated patrons.

Building upon successful implementations from the previous year, bars and restaurants have enhanced their arrangements for the upcoming celebrations. The focus remains on facilitating enjoyable yet responsible celebrations ensuring that revellers can participate in festivities whilst having access to safe transportation options.
