Pizza is definitely one of the most popular fast food dishes loved by people around the world. And Indians are not behind on this either. However, with the rise in demand for pizzas, brands like Domino’s Pizza have conquered the market with their brilliant deals and food options. However, lately, there have been fake Domino’s Pizza restaurant stores that have flooded Swiggy.
Fake Domino’s Pizza Stores Flood Swiggy
Hey @Swiggy
This is clearly a fraud. Only one of these is genuine. Why are you letting this happen?
Why isn't @dominos objecting to blatant violation of trademark. pic.twitter.com/Gv8Lt2rRU8

Fake Domino’s Pizza restaurant stores have flooded Swiggy, which is a renowned food delivery platform. These knockoff pizza outlets have opened in the name of Domino’s Pizza with some minute changes to the spelling. A user on X, by the name of Ravi Handa recently posted a screenshot asking Swiggy, why was this happening. In the screenshot, one can see that there are several names that have more or less similar spelling as Domino’s Pizza.

Several Users Shared Screenshots Of Fake Names
However, it’s worth revealing that this issue is not rampant. Yes, from what’s evident from the number of tweets and the screenshots posted by other users, these were fake outlets that were reported in Kolkata and Ghaziabad. There were other users who also shared screenshots of different pizza outlets that were impersonating the brand. As it happens, Swiggy replied to the thread, asking the user to share the pincode on DM so that they can check the same.
In case you’re wondering, other people also shared their screenshots and they are as follows.
This isn’t just a joke.
Someone close to me actually fell for it.
They realised it only after they got the delivery and saw the box. pic.twitter.com/Ikjt8ZOCO4

There was a guy who ran 33 different restaurants, but had one cloud kitchen.

I can’t see anything wrong here though. Pretty standard practice, until the fake Domino’s don’t impersonate using the exact same name, logo and pictures.

While the spelling may be a little different, there are people who still fall for the fake outlet. As a result, one should be extra careful while ordering from such renowned food brands. After all, there are many in the market that would want to cash in on the name by impersonating the brand.
So, the next time you order something from Domino’s Pizza, make sure that it’s an authentic outlet and not a fake one.
