Coach, the iconic fashion brand renowned for its luxury handbags and accessories, has made its debut in the culinary world with the opening of its first coffee shop and restaurant in the bustling metropolis of Jakarta. This innovative venture signals a strategic expansion into new realms of lifestyle and experience.
New Coach Restaurant In Jakarta
The Coach Restaurant and The Coach Coffee Shop are connected to its store in the Grand Indonesia Mall in Jakarta. The brand’s hometown served as inspiration for both dining ideas. The coffee shop serves soft-serve ice cream and pizza slices in addition to coffee. The restaurant is a reimagining of a New York steakhouse, complete with an upside-down reproduction of a yellow taxi hanging from the ceiling. Both experiences have references to the brand. They have the ‘C’ emblem emblazoned on a hamburger bun while the staff outfits are created by Stuart Vevers, the brand’s creative director.
After two years of planning, Coach is finally establishing a restaurant as part of their ongoing effort to expand the brand beyond only products. The company has also held fashion shows and released creative advertisements to strengthen the brand’s identity.

What To Eat Here?
The heart of the dining area is anchored by a central seating area with a wraparound bench, while smaller groups can find more privacy in the alcoves. The glass block wall with lights behind it and a bar nearby accentuate the New York elegance. In case you forgot you’re eating in a Coach restaurant, the buttery-soft leather upholstery on the seats emphasises luxury.
Strip steak, lamb chops, shrimp cocktail, wedge salad, and a classic martini are among the typical New York steakhouse fare offered. These dishes are inspired by the restaurant’s mission to capture the essence of New York City for Coach patrons worldwide. The Coach Coffee Shop is situated right adjacent to The Coach Restaurant. The store will also introduce Lil Miss Jo, the coffee shop’s mascot, a lovable coffee cup influenced by images of classic New York diners and the energy of the never-sleeping metropolis. The menu spotlights iconic diner bites like pizza and soft serve.
The restaurant and coffee shop are the first in a planned line of new dining establishments the brand will open in 2024 and beyond.
