Fire Alert Sounded On Emirates Plane As It Lands At Birmingham Airport; No Injuries Reported

When we travel, most of us tend to say a small prayer for a safe travel experience. After all, travelling to a new country is a lot easier to fly, there are chances that something might just go awry. Whether it’s from a delay in departure to an unwanted incident in flight, there could be anything that could go wrong. And something similar happened to the passengers of an Emirates flight from Dubai that landed in Birmingham on Tuesday. Here’s all about it.

Reports Of Smoke Detected On Emirates Plane While Taxiing

Recently, an Emirates passenger plane of flight EK039 that landed in Birmingham on Tuesday, July 4 is now set to undergo inspections. This comes after a fire alert was sounded as the flight landed at the airport and there were also reports of some smoke detected while the plane was taxiing. In a report published by the National News, it was mentioned that this flight, which originated from Dubai landed safely at the airport. However, upon its arrival, it was attended by emergency services and maintenance technicians, as there were reports of smoke while taxiing. Birmingham Live also reported that this flight, which uses A380 jumbo jet came to a halt on the runway and was immediately surrounded by fire engines. As it happens, it was also revealed that passengers were on board for 90 minutes as the crew dealt with this incident.

Emirates Flights Resumed To Birmingham After Nearly 3+ Years

While the passengers and the crew were evacuated, it should be noted that this aircraft will undergo inspection. This incident happens just a few days after Emirates commercial flights to Birmingham were reintroduced after the Covid 19 pandemic. Yes, the airline returned to the airport after nearly three years on July 1. Moreover, this is not the only incident when there was smoke reported on the Emirates flight. Recently, while departing from Pulkova Airport in St Petersburg in Russia, there were reports of smoke from the aircraft. This flight route uses Boeing 777, and the incident is said to have occurred on Friday, July 5.

Emirates is not the only airline that is resuming its Birmingham flight. SAUDIA also launched its flights from Jeddah to the airport on July 2, and Qatar Airways resumes these flights on July 6.
